Job Description for Sales Consultant, Hospitality

Hospitality sales consultants help ensure that their hospitality chain operates smoothly and successfully. They serve as the link between hotel and consumer, selling rooms, catering and even conventions. These consultants are experts in sales, often focusing on a certain product or service; however, many specialize in selling only hospitality services. Hospitality sales consultants are generally outside consultants hired directly by companies, and they must be able to represent the company accurately and positively at all times. A detailed knowledge of the hiring company's offerings is required, including returns, warranties, benefits and any special deals. Hospitality sales consultants may also be in charge of other sales professionals, which requires ensuring their team is properly trained and able to meet all sales goals.
