Job Description for Special Education Paraprofessional

Special education paraeducators act as assistants for the special education teacher, helping them achieve educational goals and helping maintain supervision and care for special needs students. The special education paraeducator acts in a subordinate role to the teacher and is responsible for carrying out curriculum plans according to guidelines constructed and implemented by the teacher. Additionally, they also help the teacher in clerical duties such as grading papers. Other tasks may include assisting with the safety, mentoring, and transportation of special needs students.

Warner Robins is a city in the US state of Georgia, located in Houston County. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 66,588. From 2000 to 2010, the Warner Robins city population growth percentage was 36.4% (from 48,804 people to 66,588). Warner Robins is a part of the larger Macon-Warner Robins Combined Statistical Area, with a population of 417,473. Warner Robins was founded in 1942 from the community of Wellston. It was named for General Augustine Warner Robins of the United States Air Force. It was incorporated as a town in 1943 and as a city in 1956. The 1940 census shows that the community of Wellston was sparsely populated and inhabited primarily by farmers and their families. Its most notable landmark was a stop on the railroad line.
