Job Description for Supplier Diversity Director

Supplier diversity directors generally work for large companies and are responsible for programs which support the diverse businesses which supply their companies with goods or services. Excellent managerial and leadership skills are important in this position, as they must provide guidance and leadership on matters related to supplier diversity throughout their organizations. They also serve a liaison function between their company and diverse supplier advocacy groups and provide information and presentations to these groups and other interested parties. Interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are also important.
