Truck drivers are typically required to be 21 years of age or older and have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license. Most positions require a minimum of 25,000 miles driving a tractor-trailer vehicle and no more than 2 minor moving violations over the course of a three-year period, and applicants must also be able to pass an extensive criminal and employment background check in addition to physical agility and drug-screening tests.
