Job Description for Warehouseman

Warehousemen help ensure that a warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a physically demanding job, as the warehouse workers are expected to be able to lift heavy objects in excess of 25 pounds throughout their shift. Other tasks they need to be able to perform are unloading and loading trailers quickly and efficiently, operating a forklift, and performing basic maintenance for their work area. They are also responsible for completing an inventory checklist, ensuring loads are in the correct trailers, and completing various other tasks given to them by their supervisor. All of these tasks must be performed in compliance with organizational safety regulations.
