A web engineer must be up to date in multiple computer-related fields and applications. A web engineer’s tasks may involve such tasks as translating code and text to web format for the client. They may be required to take visual presentations and translate them to a vivid and clear web design format. Web engineers have to stay current when it comes to all of the latest technologies and formats. A web engineer must have experience with javascript, css, and html codes in regards to web development for a client. A knowledge of web architecture may also be needed in this position.
