Years of Experience
Five to nine years of work experience seem to result in median wages of approximately $10.88 per hour. Overall, the greater share of Chili's Grill & Bar folks have one to four years of experience and earn an average about $9.78 per hour.
Certifications and Degrees
Being a Servsafe food manager certification certainly has its perks — salaries approach approximately $14.00 per hour and far exceed the paychecks of those without certification. The best paid folks at Chili's Grill & Bar have an Associate of Arts (AA), earning $13.25 per hour.
When it comes to skills, Training seems to bolster pay the most; employees who claim proficiency also enjoy a median income of about $14.00 per hour. Customer Service also popped up often in the survey as an important skill; nearly two in five of employees surveyed report using it at work. Food Preparation, Customer Relations, and Team Leadership were also reported by many survey participants.
Benefits and Perks
Close to one-third of workers report contributing to a 401(k). Just over two-fifths of workers can count on health insurance, and over a third of workers have dental coverage as a benefit. The company also dishes out perks such as free drinks, food/meal discounts, a casual working environment, food/meals on duty, flexible hours, and meal allowances.
