Workers who have been with the company for more than one year but less than five can make $65K per year on average. The greater proportion of employees (43 percent) report five to nine years of experience and bring home median pay of around $71K annually.
When it comes to location, the highest average paycheck ($88K per year) can be spotted in San Jose, Calif.; Los Angeles, Calif. (approximately $79K), New York, N.Y. ($76K), and San Antonio, Texas (about $74K) are the next top-paying cities. Expected earnings are below average ($63K) in Cincinnati, Ohio, one of the lowest-paid cities. Across its U.S. offices, the state of California pays TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES LIMITED the most — $81K annually on average.
Senior Software Engineers are awarded the highest paychecks, with compensation nearing $74K per year on average; Information Technology Consultants are next on the list, bringing in close to about $73K, followed by Senior Software Engineers earning around $72K and IT Business Analysts making approximately $70K. Software Engineers make an average about $66K, close to the bottom of the company pay scale.
Certifications and Degrees
Project Management Professionals receive bigger paychecks (around $104K annually) than those without credentials.
