Aircrew loadmasters are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of both passengers and cargo in military airplanes and overseeing everything that goes into them, including people, cargo, vehicles, and any other items being flown out. Much work goes into the positioning of everything in a military plane, and the aircrew loadmaster must ensure that all people and items on the plane are positioned in a manner that will allow for the safest flight. They must also ensure that everything is properly strapped and buckled down to avoid cargo or vehicles from moving and potentially affecting the plane's balance or injuring a human passenger.
