Directors of building and grounds are responsible for ensuring that a facility - interior, exterior, or both - is always in presentable condition and free of hazards. They often perform periodic inspections and may clean and maintain the grounds or delegate these tasks to other employees or outside contractors. If damage is noticed on the grounds or inside a building, the director should arrange for repairs to be made immediately, and it's important that they keep maintenance/replacement costs low while paying mind to the quality of all supplies.
