Job Description for SAP Testing Analyst
A college degree in computer systems, information technology, or industrial engineering is generally required to work as a Systems Applications and Products (SAP) testing analyst. SAP testing analysts must have proficient knowledge of SAP installation and management, database-maintenance, and their organization's computer systems, and must be knowledgeable of all levels of testing methodologies and processes.Read More...
Analytical skills, project management skills, strong communication skills, and close attention to detail are required for the position. SAP testing analysts are also required to generate reports and make presentations to team members and/or upper management, so strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) are required.
SAP testing analysts must be "team players" who are able to work well with others, and flexibility is very important, as they may be required to work overtime to meet deadlines; some organizations may even employ them for more than one regular shift. These analysts are generally involved in providing estimates for test resources, i.e. man-hours needed for various projects, and setting estimated completion dates. They usually work in an office environment, but also travel to other offices of their organizations.
