Job Description for Testing / Quality Assurance (QA), Computer Software or Hardware

People who work in testing/quality assurance (QA) for computer software or hardware generally work in product development in the information technology field. These testers spend much of their time putting software programs through a variety of often-repetitive tasks to seek out flaws, errors, and bugs in coding. As hardware testers, these workers attempt to run programs at full loads, essentially trying to load the hardware with so many calculations that it causes the microprocessors or circuitry to fail. It is the goal of the QA tester to anticipate and attempt to do to a piece of software or hardware everything conceivable that an end user might do and ensure the product will function properly.
