The most highly represented industry among alumni is the nutritional supplement manufacturing industry. Curiously, the high SAT results reported by Coe alumni do not result in top-paid positions in the workforce — in fact, this group brings home rather low salaries. Those with a degree from Coe make an average of around $49K.

Nearly one in three Coe students choose to remain in Cedar Rapids, Iowa after graduation, where the average salary is actually the lowest at $55K. On the opposite end of the pay scale is Chicago, Ill., a top-paying city for Coe grads looking to earn a larger-than-average sum (this city has a median pay of approximately $66K).

Degree Major

Among the highest-paid Coe alumni are those with a B.A. in English Literature — they earn close to $66K on average per year. A B.A. in Psychology offers the lowest median annual financial reward ($47K).

Many former Coe students are familiar with Financial Analysis, and roughly one in ten grads move on to positions where this experience is utilized. Coe College grads who have experience with Technical Writing can expect to make 54 percent more than other alumni (about $76K on average). Proficiency in Customer Service, Public Speaking, and Adobe Illustrator command top-of-the-line rewards as well.

Benefits and Perks

Only about two-fifths of alumni enjoy paid vacation and one in five survey participants receive sick leave. A large number of survey participants report contributing to a 401(k). Benefits are rather generous for graduates of this school; most former students are rewarded with health insurance and a strong majority of alumni report dental coverage, too. Coe College alumni are rewarded with additional benefits, such as tuition reimbursement, flexible hours, company pension plan, and life insurance.

Related Schools

Augustana College grads report the most similar salaries to Coe alums, earning $51K on average. Cornell College, Grinnell College, and Monmouth College are also similar to Coe.
