Graduates of Coe go into clinical care, the nutritional supplement manufacturing industry, and the avionics manufacturing industry, not to mention a variety of other lines of work. A large chunk of former Coe students are employed in the education industry; in fact, this is the most popular job sector for this population. Starting salaries of around $53K are common among Coe grads.

Coe grads who become Information Technology Project Managers garner financial rewards beyond any other job type for this group — these alumni rake in $88K annually. However, Staff Accountants and Financial Analysts also rank as top-earners (bringing in $56K and about $53K, respectively). Auditors pick up approximately $53K in financial rewards, representing the lowest-paid position among alumni.

Upon earning their degree, many Coe grads prefer to remain in Cedar Rapids; in fact, just under one in three grads enjoy the area so much that they find permanent jobs in the city. With a median salary of $90K, Denver represents the highest-paid city popular among Coe grads. Though Sioux Falls takes the cake for lowest pay among Coe grads (the median salary is $27K there), it remains a common destination for former students. Coe grads often wind up in the Midwest as well — Chicago and Iowa City in particular.

Degree Major

A graduate with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Coe can rake in a whopping approximately $99K per year, more than any other degree from this school. A B.A. in Public Relations (PR) is less advantageous in terms of earnings; alums with this degree are the lowest earners with annual pay of about $33K.

Knowledge of Operations Management seems to be related to bigger paychecks; in fact, skilled alumni bring in salaries that are 68 percent more than their former classmates' salaries ($89K). Coe grads are usually competent in Microsoft Excel, and close to an eighth of alumni continue practicing this skill in their career. In addition, those who are savvy in Financial Analysis, Operations Management, and Data Analysis are also considered highly skilled.

Only about two-fifths of alumni enjoy paid vacation and one-fourth of alumni receive sick leave. Almost all alumni report contributing to a 401(k). Health coverage is awarded to almost all alums, and dental insurance is issued to a fair portion of former students as well. Other benefits awarded to Coe College alumni include life insurance, a casual working environment, tuition reimbursement, and flexible hours.
