Degree Major

Former Bears who fare the best in terms of salary hold a Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Jurisprudence, or Master of Law (LLM) and earn a median salary of $126K per year. Average annual salaries for those with a Master of Divinity (MDiv), Theology are the lowest of the pack, earning $31K.


Microsoft Word commands a pay premium of 11 percent for former Bears. Mercer alumni are often well versed in Microsoft Excel, with nearly one-tenth of grads ending up in jobs that require this skillset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project Management, and Financial Analysis command top-of-the-line rewards as well.

Benefits and Perks

Though slightly more than half of the former students get paid time off for vacation, only one-third of alumni receive paid sick leave. A strong majority of alumni set up a 401(k) to save for retirement. For this school, a fair number of alumni are the recipients of health benefits, and a fair number of survey participants pick up dental plans, too.
