Degree Major

With a median annual earnings of $123K per year, former Bears who have a Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Jurisprudence, or Master of Law (LLM) are the best paid among the alumni population. A Master of Divinity (MDiv), Theology is less advantageous in terms of earnings; alums with this degree are the lowest earners with a median annual pay of $31K.


About an eighth of grads report using Microsoft Office as part of their job, making it the most popular skill. Former Bears with Project Management experience garner salaries that are 13 percent more than other grads' salaries. Microsoft Excel, Financial Analysis, and Project Management are desirable skills as well.

Benefits and Perks

Paid time off due to illness is less common here than paid vacation time, just over one-third of alums report receiving the former, whereas just half of the alumni report receiving the latter. A large number of survey participants enjoy benefits like health insurance, while a fair number of alums receive dental plans, too. Most graduates take advantage of a 401(k) plan. Additional benefits handed to Mercer University alumni include life insurance, a company-subsidized cell phone, a casual working environment, and tuition reimbursement.
