An assistant operations manager generally needs a bachelor's degree or equivalent work history as an administrative assistant. They need strong organizational skills to maintain the operation manager's records and compile reports. They also must be able to effectively train personnel, communicate with potential or existing clients, and make recommendations that increase business revenue when possible.
