Assistants in nursing (AINs) serve a variety of roles in a medical setting, from helping patients perform basic tasks to providing aid during medical procedures. Other duties potentially performed by AINs include conducting physical therapy, administering medicine, helping with bowel care, making beds, and observing, reporting, and documenting health changes for other medical staff.
