A senior geotechnical engineer is expected to lead, train, manage, and supervise a team of junior engineers, as well as communicate on behalf of the team to other departments such as operations and management. Sr. Geotechnical Engineer Tasks
- Manage and lead investigations, analysis, design, and construction support for geotechnical, water resources, and mining projects.
- Prepare and review technical reports.
- Analyze earthquake response, soil, laboratory testing results, data reports and baseline reports.
- Design shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, and slope stability analysis of dams and embankments.
- Conduct field assignments inspecting earth retaining structures including geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, and deep foundations, tunnels, shallow foundations and drilled shafts.
