Job Description for Accounting Administrator
Accounting administrators are responsible for completing and administering accounting tasks for their company. They are in charge of preparing financial statements and creating financial disclosures for future reference. Accounting administrators evaluate organizational plans according to budgeting requirements, prepare detailed reports following federal and institutional guidelines, and process accounts receivable to complete a cash flow projection. Accounting administrators also manage check requests and deposit information, complete and update financial records, and fill out tax forms at the end of the year. They support auditing tasks, as well as discuss payment terms and account contracts. Additionally, they must maintain the trial balance and collection queue, as well as help settle delinquent accounts. Accounting administrators work closely with financial staff to assign responsibilities for complex revenue issues and maintain accurate notes related to client billing.
