Great Benefits and Work/Life Balance.

Pros: Great benefits, work/life balance. Generally, coworkers all get along. Great supervisors who give and are receptive to constructive feedback; my opinions and work quality feels valued.
Cons: Pay is well below what I could be making in the private sector. After deductions, I barely make over 20k, which is barely a living wage for the city I live in.

Administrative Assistant in Houston:
Pros: Atmosphere and culture is laid back, generally not a stressful environment. Coworkers generally get along well with one another, supervisors are appreciative, transparent, and constructive with feedback.
Cons: My salary is well below market average. I'm aware that this is largely due to how much money the Legislative session decides to delegate it, but civilliab employees have not had a raise in a long time. After deductions I barely make 20k.
