Pros: I am able to learn and grow to further my own career while also benefiting the company.
Cons: I don't think my role is well understood, and my efforts are overlooked or taken for granted as a result. Example, below-average salary for my role.

Small town, but not bad.

Pros: Close to home, not too crowded. Traffic isnt as bad as in Vancouver

No degree. No Job.
Graphic Designer in Bryan:
Pros: Small town atmosphere with big town amenities. Bryan is only minutes away from College Station and all the hustle and bustle of Texas A&M .
Cons: The cost of living in Bryan has risen in the past year due to the rising taxes of College Station. Because the Bryan/College Station area is considered a college town, it is almost impossible to secure employment, above minimum wage, if you do not have a college degree (even if you have more than 20 years experience in your chosen profession). Companies would rather hire someone for $10/hour with little to no experience and see and extremely high rate of turnover, than pay a seasoned professional what they are worth and keep that employee for years on end. It really is a backwards way of thinking, in my opinion.

Pros: Working a quick walking distance to a large town centre is fantastic for lunch and shopping.
Cons: Travel into the town centre is difficult

Freelance Designer.
Graphic Designer in New York:
Pros: Good pay, excellent work-life balance, long deadlines, and low-stress. Occasional free HBO swag/merch and access to events or pre-screenings.
Cons: Very set brand guidelines which doesn't allow for many creative opportunities. A lot of production-type digital asset creation to be done, which can get dry.
