The main duties of a quality management (QM) director include creating and implementing events and activities to meet organizational quality and performance goals. This position requires ensuring all relevant regulations are follows, as well as hosting events and orientations to ensure all workers are aware of their responsibilities related to patient care. They also develop procedures to ensure that the patient care is of the highest quality. Quality management directors often work in hospitals, health care centers, and similar institutions. They work with the medical director to promote excellent employee performance and improvements to patient safety.
