"Executive Director not for profit."
Pros: I really enjoy my new career. It gives me true satisfaction to wake up every day knowing that my career choice gives my community a hand up. It is considerably better than corporate retail that I performed for 20 years. There is a considerable amount of creative freedom to perform my job daily. It is very self driven.
Cons: The biggest challenge I have had has been adapting to reporting to a board of directors. As mentioned if you are not self driven and time management focused a not for profit job would be difficult for you to perform.
