I love VMware. The culture is people-oriented which is very encouraging and supportive. There’s no unreasonable demands, yet the standards met are high thanks to the effort made by the management to motivate the people who are generally talented. Great hiring, great grooming and great setting of an ideal working environment!

Technical Program Manager (TPM):
Co-workers are great, but managers can be very bad. Lots of politics. High-level management has no clue how much the lower levels latch on to what they *think* the executive wants. You are punished if your top goal is doing the right thing for the company.
Compensation good. Benefits ok. Campus is beautiful.
