Cotton On Reviews

What is it like working at Cotton On?

March 2015
"If you love a hard days work."
Retail Store Manager:
Pros: The people I work with and the friends I've made. The product is pretty good too.
Cons: The feeling of being undervalued. Over worked and underpaid.
April 2016
"Stuck in time."
Retail Sales Assistant:
Pros: I love working with people and helping the customer to have the best possible shopping experience with us.
Cons: I dislike the fact that there is minimal structure within my store at least, for casuals to move forward and progress and upskill in the workplace, I am treated like a baby when I do not know things, but I have been there in the same position 3 years, with no further training. They won't even let me do banking... Which I'm sure is straight forward and merely requires a brief explanation of procedure that expected.
December 2017
Retail Sales Assistant in Canberra:
Pros: The flexible hours. Decent Sunday rates pay.
Cons: Management. Loss prevention manger.
December 2018
Sales Assistant:
I enjoy working for cotton on, but sometimes the pressure is just to much. Been working there for 4 years and still I am a sales assistant. Maybe there is a problem with me I am not sure. But overall it is a great company, besides what happens backdoors.
January 2019
"Extremely challenging and fun."
Assistant Store Manager in Johannesburg:
Pros: Meeting new people and assisting people to grow within the store as well as reach their potentials under my leadership as well as the senior store managers
Cons: The lack of communication, which tends to throw people under stress and pressured unnecessarily
March 2019
"Entry level workers are not well compensated & always take the blow when business is not doing well."
Sales Assistant, Inside in Johannesburg:
Pros: It is a vibrant environment and very upbeat in its industry. Always improving and innovative
Cons: The long hours and low pay.
