Pros: Wonderful benefits - sick days, personal days, vacation days, federal paid holidays, medical insurance covered a variety of aliments and had special provisions that were added on as a rider. They're in the process of adding pet health insurance. Work-life balance is usually good, depending on where you are situated. Usually there isn't a problem with working from home, just make sure that you inform whomever you need to.
Cons: Having a company cell phone usually meant that you were available for email and phone calls 24/7, even when you're on vacation. Depending on which division you were in, it could be hard to tell what your role in the overall company organization and strategy is. Going through another restructuring right now (as of 2014), eliminating about 1,000 jobs.
