Maxim Healthcare Services Reviews

What is it like working at Maxim Healthcare Services?

Its OK, but need better pay.
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN):
Pros: They keep you working, they work with your flexibility.
Cons: Wages are low, hard to not consider leaving for a better paying job, after developing relationships with families you care for.
Nurse Private Duty:
I have 2 clients, work 6 days per week, anywhere from 35 to 43 hours per week. I have great clients. I have had several supervisors and DONs. I have no complaints about anyone. I have received 2 annual raises, but I work for 2 different offices, so there was confusion about getting my raise at one office. I also wish I was making more, since I have been working as a nurse for 40 years. Overall, I would say it is a good company.
Good place to work.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Painesville:
Pros: Working within the DD school.
Cons: Low pay rate
Good job.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Painesville:
Pros: Working with younger age groups/ teaching
Cons: Low pay
Not supportive to nurses.
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN):
Pros: The patients I meet.
Cons: Low pay, no sick pay, no paid vacations or benefits.
Fun culture but hard work and little to no opportunity for advancement. Outdated company and policies.
Recruiter in Seattle:
Pros: The people I work with.
Cons: Pay, stress, lack of autonomy, lack of transparency from management.
Just meh..
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Covina:
Pros: I appreciate the attention to detail from recruiters while setting up opportunities with clients and ensuring plenty of options are available without them passing judgment for clients that are not a good fit.
Cons: I do not like that the Corporate base is difficult to consult with you must go through field workers instead of directly to a human resources director and often the answer does not provide enough guidance or support.
