When it comes to location, the highest average paycheck (about $10.00 per hour) can be spotted in Monroe, Ga.; New York, N.Y. ($10.00), Atlanta, Ga. ($9.44), and Bakersfield, Calif. ($9.24) are the next top-paying cities. On the lower end is Houston, Texas at approximately $8.50. Within the firm, employees working in Washington take home the most — $12.00 per hour on average.
The highest paychecks go to Retail Sales Associates, who earn an average $10.32 per hour, closely trailed by Customer Service Representatives (around $9.88), Sales Associates (about $9.43), and Retail Sales Representatives ($9.27). Cellular Telephones Sales Representatives are among the lowest paid at a median salary of $9.00.
Certifications and Degrees
Business Certificate Holders receive bigger paychecks ($8.50 per hour) than those without credentials. Employees who have a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) make the most here, hauling in approximately $18.75 per hour.
The highest-paying skill to have in this role seems to be Sales Management; employees claiming this as part of the toolbox earn a median of about $9.75 per hour. Folks here also tend to know Customer Service; on the survey, a majority of workers named it in their skills portfolios. Cash Handling, Sales, and Customer Relations are also desirable skills.
