Peter Kiewit Sons', Inc. Reviews
What is it like working at Peter Kiewit Sons', Inc.?
Purchasing Analyst in Omaha:
This company's reputation is based on past results and engineers' results with the projects they manage and build. Their admin is self-serving and it's hard to make any changes or move up in your career at this employer. Very political. You are also not fully vested in the 401k for 5 years. Benefits are decent, but not out of the ordinary.
Top of my game.
Driller in San Diego:
Pros: Management recognizes your worth and your skills you bring to the table
Cons: Micromanaging
Great people and many opportunities.
Structural Engineer in Lenexa:
Pros: I am given as many opportunities as I am willing to take. There are many people and resources to help me grow as a professional.
Cons: There isn't much I can say here. I am content with the company. Transparency with pay would help, but I don't think I'm being taken advantage of.
Lots of stress and OT.
Field Engineer, Construction in Lenexa:
Pros: Insurance and vacation
Cons: Raises suck. Micromanagers at the top.
Civil Engineer in San Diego:
Some long hours but the projects are unparalleled and the managers do their best to provide time off and holidays frequently. Training is above and beyond reproach. If your interested in the design build procurement model this is a good design firm to work for.
I'm personally treated well but can't say the same for some colleagues.
Project Engineer in Denver:
Pros: Every day is a new challenge and I have unlimited opportunity for growth within the company.
Cons: In my district, we are not paid fairly.
It is good company but and still integrating more women into their workforce.
Administrative Assistant in Ashburn:
Pros: I like that the company has great benefits and some other perks.
Cons: I feel they don't offer enough career growth for those in administrative roles.
