Raytheon Co. Reviews
What is it like working at Raytheon Co.?
Mechanical Engineer in Los Angeles:
Cons: It takes forever to get work completed through all the processes
"Heavy Responsibility, Below Average Pay."
Materials Manager in Marlborough:
Pros: I feel that my work makes a difference in the world. The company protects ships, bases, and citizens around the world on a daily basis. The technology is cutting edge and the work is challenging.
Cons: Pay does not seem competitive. Benefits are seen as the equalizer but the company will struggle to retain young talent so long as they choose to pay less than competitors. Too focused on how their pay matches to others in the defense industry and not concerned about Tech companies that offer better work environments and better pay.
Process Improvement Engineer:
This company talks out both sides of their mouth. CEO will send letters about how they’re supporting transgender rights bills in the Massachusetts legislature because we support our LGBT employees. Then turnaround and pour PAC money into congress so they won’t prevent us from selling our products to Saudi Arabia, one of the most Draconian countries out there.
Good company to work for with good benefits and pay is really good. Hard to get promoted and can be very political at times. The people are really nice and helpful to new employees. The time off is generous for expecting mothers and dads.

Cons: Middle management
