Walgreen's Pharmacy Reviews

What is it like working at Walgreen's Pharmacy?

July 2015
"It okay."
Pharmacy Technician:
Pros: Customers.
Cons: Work load.
July 2015
Pharmacy Technician:
Pros: The ability to help others.
Cons: Pay and rude customers create a high stress environment.
October 2015
Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician:
Cons: No set schedule, so can close one night, and open next morning. Also scheduling budgets are made by someone not located at your store and based on number comparison from previous year. This means many times we are working understaffed. Also there isn't a central call center for our area yet, so our phones are constantly ringing, interrupting us and putting us behind, creating longer waits and unhappy customers. Very stressful at times.
December 2015
Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician:
Pros: Flexible, employees that are good, and a few others.
Cons: Stress, pushing everything on me when everyone leaves, not satisfied with my pay rate.
March 2016
"Poor pay in comparison to the stress."
Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician:
April 2016
"Primarily production work."
Pharmacist:
Pros: Good support staff - technicians; patients generally appreciate your work; most providers easy to resolve questions/problems with.
Cons: High pressure environment, emphasis on output rather than proper & complete patient care, work processes require improvement to optimize use of pharmacist time, serious understaffing for workload, insufficient training for specifics of job.
May 2016
"Pretty nice but strict workplace."
Pharmacist:
Pros: Brands name.
Cons: Stressful shifts and all the rest is history.
