Make sure your staff members understand and actually have a process for being accountable to you and their own work.

My position becomes the 'dump zone' for things that don't necessarily be directly related to my accounting duties. I also tend to be the 'go to' person for answers to questions that should be answered by the persons direct manager; but unfortunately people realize that I either have or can get the answer (learn to make boundaries as well).
