Job Description for Aeronautical Engineer

Most of the time, aeronautical engineers work for the government or defense contractors. Some positions require security clearance because they often work in facilities that require special access. Aerospace engineers design, maintain, and oversee the research and development of different types of aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, and missiles. In addition, they are required to test prototypes to make sure that they function in accordance with their intended plan and original design.
