They attend clinical meetings to suggest new ways to conduct research projects. They follow strict safety and privacy guidelines to prevent accidents and invasion of personal privacy for research participants. Clinical research specialists inform participants of their duties and benefits and respond to any feedback and complaints with great service. They also know how to process specimen information and input data into company databases. They work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines by using their advanced multitasking skills in a variety of clinical research projects. They know how to complete administrative and application files. They work well with other specialists in a team environment to finish research duties within a given time-frame. However, they can also perform effectively on their own with minimal supervision. Clinical research specialists fill out forms, respect protocols, and adhere to consent forms as needed. They also provide support to research investigators and provide training to clinical research associates. They are familiar with clinical terminology and equipment operation. They are proficient with office applications to complete research reports, run calculations, and respond to research communications.
