Cons: Un-professional management. No word of rewards. Lack of investment on skills improvement. Family stress / no personal family time.

Pros: Meeting new people and helping.
Cons: Angry people is not fun. Not having support from superiors and not being able to effectively manage room rates. Often times my ideas are ignored, and my bosses have little experience in the field.

Negotiate up front. Know your worth. Know that the time you spend on property is not even a drop in the bucket to the work you will need to do before and after your 8 hour day. You will work 24/7. Always on call. Always in react mode.

Pros: Hamptonality! We get to be a little bit crazy and have a lot of fun! Why do you ask is this a great thing? Because I can be ME while I work and have alot of fun!!
Cons: My ownership company expecects too much in a short amount of time. I took over a money making beast that has alot of HR issues.
