Always keep learning with design there is always something new to learn.

Better training for practical design tasks.
Graphic Designer:
While I had creative skills and conceptual understanding of design when I finished my degree, we weren't taught practical skills which left me under prepared for the workforce. Things like knowing how to take files through to finished art stage were completely lost on me and should have more of a focus for graduates.

Pros: The people I work with. Great atmosphere. Great product. Really get to be creative and broaden my skill set.
Cons: Being underpaid for the level of work I'm creating.

Pros: Good people, relaxed environment, flexible, appreciative, awarding.
Cons: Little pay, long commute.

It Is Okay To Ask Questions.
Graphic Designer:
Ask questions! If you don't know how to do something it's OK. When working with a team, it is actually counterproductive to pretend to know how to do something. You could spend an hour researching, looking for an answer to a question you might not even know to ask. Asking someone more experienced than you, cuts right to the chase. It makes the team more efficient, and you - more knowledgable.

Pros: Creating designs to inspire people to use alternative modes of transportation such as subways, bikes, walking, trains in southern California.
Cons: Not much.

Pros: What I really love of my job it's being creative.
Cons: I dont like when my boss say what I have to do because I'm a artist we always creative new stuff and I kind like start new things and make something totally weird, different.
