Guidance Counselor, Secondary School in Miami:
"Reasons to retire and transfer to SC."
Pros: I work close to home. I work with IIB students and professional colleagues. I enjoy the weather and. Sunshine. One can wear light comfortable clothing. There are palm trees and a diverse population of people. Our district is at the cutting edge always.
Cons: Traffic and sense of entitlement of newcomers which creates frustration for natives working 2 jobs with college education to sustain quality of life in South Florida.

Guidance Counselor, Secondary School in Phoenix:
"Money Isn't Everything."
This is a career that does not pay very much in dollars, but there are non-quantifiable personal rewards in helping a young person succeed in life. Having said that, I would recommend that you work to move across the salary pay scale ASAP by taking professional growth credits.
