Mechanical project engineers develop concepts into concrete project plans that are worked on by other engineers. They also communicate these plans to the accounting office, which allocates capital and operating funds throughout the project. As the plans are enacted, the mechanical project engineer monitors the team's progress and develops instruments for product testing. Their position may involve work directly on the factory floor.
