Q: What is it like working as a Nanny?
Nanny in Grand Rapids:
"Great people and cultures."
Pros: That there is a lot around to do
Nanny in St. Louis:
Pros: Lots of children's activities.
Cons: Traffic and violence.
Nanny in Philadelphia:
Pros: Close to home
Nanny in Wenatchee:
"Love my job."
Pros: The family I work with are awesome. Letting me care for their is a true blessing.
Cons: Uncertainty of some jobs I need to do.
Nanny in Bakersfield:
Cons: A lot of cleaning.
Nanny in Dallas:
"Nannying in Dallas."
Pros: The best part of my job is definitely the children! I love watching them grow, working with them to achieve goals, and having fun!
Cons: The pay for nannies is less than undesirable. I have no problem getting $25/hour for part time work or for babysitting; however, full time employment is another story! I am appalled at what people want to pay for someone (especially someone, such as myself, with a double major in childhood education, over 30 years experience, with First Aid/CPR certification, that offers to basically also be a housekeeper, too!, etc...) to care for their most precious possessions in life! I am wanting to switch from multiple part time jobs to one full time job for the stability and benefits, but honestly, I am starting to second guess myself!
Nanny in Louisville:
"Rewarding but challenging."
Pros: The children and being able to do fun activities with them.
Cons: That I am taken advantage of and asked to do things outside of what I should have to do as a nanny.
