Q: What is it like working as an Office Coordinator?

January 2020
"Great place to work."
Office Coordinator in Loudon:
Pros: Seeing patients come in distressed and leave improved
Cons: When it gets busy and the phone is ringing, fax coming in, patients checked in & therapists vying for your attention all at the same time.
April 2020
"Great Department."
Office Coordinator in Darien:
Pros: I really enjoyed the department that I worked in. My co-workers are trustworthy, friendly, helpful, and remain my friends even though I have been laid off. Our department consistently had excellent management and I received regular feedback from my boss, generally positive. The manager did his best to keep me, but in January our department went from 7 employees to just 3. I do not think all other departments have as good of an experience as our department did.
Cons: I liked upper management and the managers in our department over the past 20+ years, but it seems that some of the other managers (and other locations) cared less about quality and more about the bottom line. Our department tried hard to maintain quality and regulatory compliance.
April 2020
"Good opportunity to learn how non-profits help the community."
Office Coordinator in Salisbury:
Pros: I have been welcomed with open arms by the seemingly nice group of co-workers.
Cons: Nothing so far.
April 2020
Office Coordinator in Kansas City:
Pros: wide range of opportunities to network
Cons: sometimes too big and hard to narrow down a good employer
May 2020
"Love helping."
Office Coordinator in Adelaide:
Pros: I love over coming obstacles and helping employees to find a solution to a problem.
Cons: Manager is never onsite. So doing managerial work while being payed a minimum wage as a coordinator. Also no where to go or to be promoted.
January 2014
"Stress Level."
Office Coordinator:
Pros: I get to work independantly with flexible hours, working in real estate, learning new techniques, etc.
Cons: Communication between myself and the owners. Can be misunderstood at times.
November 2013
"My co-work makes me stressful than my job itself"
Office Coordinator:
Pros: I could learn more in the operation clergy tasks. My managers respect me and trust me. They know I keep myself busy all the time, even though someday I am not so busy.
Cons: Leak of communication with managers and co-workers. When the admin is not reliable, I have to overlook the receptionist. As if, I am doing two position at once. The Human Resource people are not showing appreciation of my help. I have to check the payroll after the office admin finished it. She is difficult to deal with. Some people have attitudes problems and they are not a good training material. I got caught in between the HR department and the admin conflicts.
