Plant controllers are responsible for administrative work in a factory environment, such as preparing financial statements, production-cost statements, and profit forecasts. Close attention to detail and strong mathematical skills are important in this position to prepare accurate reports, and some plant controllers may oversee the facility's accounting department. They may also audit invoices, charges, and financial statements and check labor reports, material costs, overhead, and distribution costs for accuracy.
