Job Description for Project Geologist

A project geologist works in fields such as drilling and mining. They gather data at a site, analyze it, and create maps so that operations can be carried out effectively. A project geologist should also collect data regarding seismic occurrences and various formations, as well as identify risks associated with the operations so managers can decide whether work should continue in certain sites. In some positions, a project geologist is tasked with identifying new sites for carrying out company operations as well. Project geologists also perform tests to identify specific spots for carrying out drilling operations.
