Job Description for Psychiatric Technician
A psychiatric technician works at a hospital or nursing home to ensure the safety and care of the patients with emotional problems or mental illnesses. The technician is an assistant to psychiatrists and nurses at a facility. - Make observations and document patient treatment interventions, behavior and progress
- Restrain or aid patients as necessary to prevent injury
- Organize, supervise and encourage patient participation in educational and recreational activities
