Most of the time, registered nurses (RN), emergency room, work in the emergency rooms of hospitals. They may also work at sporting events and in ambulances and helicopters that provide medical evacuations. Their job is to provide quality patient care to patients who experience trauma or injury. They must perform triage on patients as soon as they arrive at their facility to determine the priority of treatment, based on their condition. They must perform treatment timely, in accordance with the established triage procedures.
