Registered Nurse (RN) Reviews

What is it like working as a Registered Nurse (RN)?

August 2021
It has its ups and downs. As a floor RN, you wear multiple hats. You also could possibly receive verbal warnings if your CNA doesn’t do his/her job.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Columbia:
Pros: Honestly, I can say I’ve met/worked with some wonderful people. I believe that’s why I’ve stayed as long as I have. I also enjoy my medical/dental benefits and retirement benefits.
Cons: What I like least is the fact that management makes decisions regarding floor staff without receiving our inputs. Management doesn’t know what we really deal with while working on the floor. As a floor RN, it’s expected of me to work multiple hats. There’s no accountability for the CNAs, the nurse could receive verbal/written warnings if the CNA doesn’t do his/her job. Management isn’t completely honest during the interview process.
July 2021
Nurses are not appreciated.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Columbus:
Pros: My coworkers, schedule
Cons: If you bring up a concern about the hospital or being treated unfairly, you will get fired
July 2021
Registered Nurse (RN) in Arlington:
Ever since covid, it has been difficult to keep adequate staffing. Pay is lower than other local hospitals. Staff teamwork is much better than average and keeps me there. Too many temporary managers, no consistent leadership, which makes it hard to have consistency and someone looking after the unit.
July 2021
Very stressful, understaffed and underpaid.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Mount Kisco:
Pros: Good working team professionals, team work.
Cons: Pressure in work, constant understaffing, no supporting aids, frequent call outs.
July 2021
Always watch your back unless you are a pet.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Bay Springs:
Pros: working in the community was wonderful
Cons: i do not enjoy the bullying
July 2021
Registered Nurse (RN) in Nashville:
Cons: I do not feel like I am paid fairly. As a registered nurse in OB, I am responsible for mom and unborn baby and this job is high stress and fast pace. The pay is not good enough compared to other hospitals and i am frustrated
June 2021
It's Okay.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Lexington:
Pros: I like the people I work with. I get to make my own schedule, my pay isn't bad compared to other places.
Cons: I dislike how there are communication issues between the nursing staff and between the doctors. Details don't get passed along and patient care is sometimes delayed.
