What is it like working as a Retail Store Manager?

I am only paid for 40 hr but required to work 48. I have a very high shrink store. I work around 90 hours a week trying to meet my DM's expectations, although it never seems good enough.

Pros: Providing excellent service to our customers, doing what I can to help them any way I can.
Cons: The demands are to high, I have a new team and every one is learning. I wish I could have more then one day off a week. I have put this job before everything in my life and I thought it would make a difference when evaluation time came but it didn't.

Heavy load of responsibility due to the fact we financially struggle. We cannot afford to hire support staff. We cannot find a reliable sales person to help grow the business.

Pros: I love our casual atmosphere we have with our clients. I love our products. I love being a leader for this team.
Cons: I have so much responsibility on my shoulders where I have no one to delicate some of the work load onto. Work gets behind unless I put in the extra hours to accomplish the tasks. The constant interruptions makes it difficult.

I believe that it has too much work with no staff that makes it difficult to get work done on time and It is not good for management cause they are under pressure the whole time.
