Don't try and do everything, if you take on every piece of work just because it impacts the success of your portfolio you will overload yourself, probably underperform as a result and people won't realise there is a problem because everything is getting done! Don't be afraid to escalate issues, the executive team can help, that's what they are there for. Use the senior management team as a tool to help you get stuff done, keep messaging sharp, make clear asks and watch things start happening. Stakeholder management starts at the top, it is interesting how quickly people get on board when they have a direct ask from the CEO or MD.
