Q: What is it like working as a Welder?
Welder in Brooklyn Park:
Pros: The people and the products we build.
Cons: Love it.
Welder in Richmond:
Pros: Well I love the fact I enjoy building parts and things out of metal love to fabricate and build somthing unique.
Cons: Its ruff on your body and your health eye's back hearing ect.
Welder in Saskatoon:
Work hard at your job. See how much work you can do every hour.
Welder in Marshall:
Pros: Plain and simple...I love to weld and the enviroment where I work is clean. The equipment we use is nice. The people are great.
Cons: I like to fabricate and perform different welding projects. I like to use my brain, problem solve and be enginuitive. When I'm not stressing over parts avialability and setting up my team with jobs, I stand in the same place all day and weld the same parts day in and day out. I also wish there was more opertunity for advancement and better pay. Its very hard to make a living without working tons of overtime. Also, medical insurance is way less than desireable with high deductables, and so so coverage. And if you need time off for a surgery that's not work related, our limited dissability covers only 50% of our wages and out of that comes all of our deductions, leaving you with almost nothing to live on. We only are allowed 2 emergancy days off without disipline and that comes out of our vacation time. If you have children, especially ones that go to school, your e days are gone in a snap when they get sick. You have to file for FMLA if you need more time off and then hope its approved.
Welder in Joshua:
"Too many mexicans work for cheap labor!!!"
Dont take anything less then 17an hour if youknow how to perform different types of welding.
Welder in Danville:
"The amount of physical duress involved; heat, cold, confined."
Be prepared to travel and be away from home for extended periods in order to make a substantial wage. Be on time and eager everyday. Look, Listen, Learn!
Welder in Charleston:
