Copy Editor Reviews

Q: What is it like working as a Copy Editor?

Copy Editor in Toronto:
"It works for me."
Pros: I like being able to clean up some of the noise in the world (in this case, the bad/unclear/incorrect/poorly spelled/grammatically incorrect writing). And I like that my job feels like word-based problem solving. Showing willing-to-learn people how they can improve their writing.
Cons: Fixing the same mistakes over and over; dealing with people who can't/won't learn. The fact that people don't know what I do.
