Professor, Postsecondary / Higher Education Reviews

What is it like working as a Professor, Postsecondary / Higher Education?

Professor, Postsecondary / Higher Education in Hamilton:
"Teaching after years of practice."
Pros: A dynamic job with the challenge of making facts and theory interesting and interactive for students when some of them seem to prefer edu-tainment compared to reading and taking the initiative for their own learning. I enjoy the students enthusiasm and passion when you can uncover something that really interests them or surprises them. A superb direct work team and fantastic team and work environment. Lots of ability to be autonomous and teach content in diverse ways.
Cons: Many busy work kind of things that arise and need to be done yesterday. It can be difficult to focus on tasks at hand when random things get thrown at you. The program is just over one year old so there are many growing pains associated with the job as well.
