Senior Technical Consultants rake in the most money, with average earnings of $91K; Information Technology Consultants come in second with typical earnings amounting to approximately $61K, while IT Business Analysts and Business Analysts rank near the top as well (around $57K and about $56K, respectively). CGI Federal hands out some of the smallest paychecks to Application Developers ($47K).
For those with at least five years experience, pay generally amounts to $80K. On the whole, the greater proportion of employees (39 percent) have a tenure of one to four years and bring home around $57K per year.
Median pay is highest in the company's headquarter city of Fairfax (about $79K annually), followed by Baltimore ($76K), Charleston ($71K), and Washington, DC ($70K). Lebanon ranks low on the pay scale — at approximately $47K, it is one of the lowest-paid cities. By state, the highest pay levels are found in Maryland, where the average CGI Federal employee makes around $80K per year.
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialists are compensated at a much higher rate than non-authorized workers, bringing in close to about $110K. Becoming a Project Management Professional can certainly pay off here; those folks make $108K. Employees who have a Master of Science (MS), Management Information Systems (MIS) make the most here, hauling in approximately $135K annually.
When it comes to skills, .NET seems to bolster pay the most; employees who claim proficiency also enjoy a median income of $95K. SQL is a popular skill among CGI Federal workers, with nearly one in five of those surveyed reporting using it on the job. Microsoft Office, Project Management, and Data Analysis were also reported by many survey participants.
38 percent have paid vacation, and only about a third of workers can take paid time off for illness. A solid majority of workers contribute to 401(k) savings accounts sponsored by the firm. At CGI Federal, the greater part of workers have health insurance, and a strong majority of workers have dental coverage. CGI Federal also dishes out privileges such as a stock purchase plan, flexible hours, life insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
