For those who claim five to nine years of work experience, pay on average amounts to around $75K per year. Broken down by tenure, the largest share of CGI Federal employees (41 percent) have one to four years of experience and earn $57K annually on average.
Nearing the top of the pay scale are Senior Business Consultants, Information Technology Consultants, IT Business Analysts, and Business Consultants; while the first receives the highest median pay at $83K per year, the other salaries come in at approximately $69K, $59K, and about $58K, respectively. Application Developers make an average $53K, close to the bottom of the company pay scale.
When it comes to location, the highest average paycheck ($76K annually) can be spotted in Washington, DC; the company's headquarter city of Fairfax, Va. (about $71K), Jacksonville, Fla. (around $55K), and Cleveland, Ohio ($55K) are the next top-paying cities. On the lower end is Lebanon, Va. at approximately $49K. Within the company, workers earn the highest salaries (an average of $75K per year) in District of Columbia.
Certifications and Degrees
Project Management Professionals earn $111K annually, far more than their non-accredited counterparts. Acquiring certification to be a Certified ITIL Leader is rewarded with median pay of around $104K per year. CGI Federal workers who hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Bachelor of Engineering (BEng / BE) are also well compensated, earning approximately $118K on average.
When it comes to skills, employees who report Oracle among their abilities seem to make the most, reporting a median income of $80K annually. A garden variety skill at CGI Federal is SQL; just under one-fifth of CGI Federal's people use it regularly. Key skills also include Business Analysis, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Excel.
Benefits and Perks
Unfortunately, a minority of employees — about 37 percent — are presented with both paid vacation and sick leave. Most respondents set aside retirement funds in an employer-sponsored 401(k).
