Respondents who have been working for five to nine years make $77K per year on average. The largest fraction of CGI Federal people (41 percent) have been working for one to four years and earn about $54K annually on average.
Senior Technical Consultants are awarded the highest paychecks, with compensation nearing $89K per year on average; Information Technology Consultants are next on the list, bringing in close to approximately $61K, followed by Business Consultants earning $61K and IT Business Analysts making around $52K. Application Developers make an average approximately $48K, close to the bottom of the company pay scale.
When it comes to location, the highest average paycheck ($78K annually) can be spotted in the company's headquarter city of Fairfax, Va.; Arlington, Va. (around $74K), Washington, DC ($72K), and Baltimore, Md. (about $66K) are the next top-paying cities. On the lower end is Lebanon, Va. at $48K. Within the company, workers earn the highest salaries (an average of approximately $72K per year) in Virginia.
Certifications and Degrees
Certified Six Sigma Black Belts are compensated at a much higher rate than non-authorized workers, bringing in close to $132K annually. Earning a Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification garners significant financial rewards of around $113K per year on average. CGI Federal workers who hold a Master of Science (MS), Management Information Systems (MIS) are also well compensated, earning $135K on average.
When it comes to skills, Project Management seems to bolster pay the most; employees who claim proficiency also enjoy a median income of about $80K annually. Business Analysis is considered a run-of-the-mill skill; roughly one in six of CGI Federal's people use it regularly. SQL, Microsoft Office, and Data Analysis are also desirable skills.
